1. What does MGC offer?
MGC offers each client our comprehensive and complete approach to fundraising. Our team of experienced professionals in many fields will leverage their wealth of knowledge and experience in the fundraising field, offering consulting, support, and submission of requests for fundraising in Israel and abroad.
We take the whole process of applying for grants from philanthropic foundations in Israel and abroad out of our clients’ hands.
MGC specializes in submitting professional requests for these funding sources, using our extensive experience to abide by requirements and regulations.
We take care of the whole process for our non-profit clients, from research to writing to the final submission of grant requests to philanthropic foundations, leaving our clients free to do their vital work.
2. Why should a non-profit hire a grant writing company like MGC, instead of handling the process independently?
MGC, in its many years of operation, has developed a comprehensive base of knowledge, a team of experts with extensive knowledge in the field, and a streamlined process for applying, which we leverage to efficiently handle the process of submitting grant requests.
Moreover, we have the appropriate connections and professional knowledge to present your request to the right people.
When a project involves a team of highly skilled professionals in the field – advisors, project managers, researchers, and budget experts – its chances of success are significantly higher.
It is possible to do it alone or with in-house resources, but one must account for the long, costly, and frustrating process that results when an applicant lacks the necessary experience, knowledge, and connections.
3. How much do MGC’s services cost?
The price will vary depending on the type of project and the potential funding sources.
Generally, at MGC, we charge a one-time ‘portfolio opening fee’ that grants three years of service without any additional payment. The fee is intended to cover the expenses associated with the request submission.
The advantage of our approach is that our clients can anticipate the costs in advance, without incurring a monthly cost that burdens the organization’s budget, and without the worry of additional and unexpected expenses in the future.
4. Is it possible to only get some of MGC’s services?
MGC offers an all-inclusive service package for handling the grant application process that includes building the right strategy for each client, writing individual applications for each foundation we approach, submission of applications, and submission of an implementation report to the organization.
However, we are unable to take over work that has already been started by another entity, as our method is different.
We build the process from the beginning to the end, accompanying you every step of the way until the desired results are achieved.
5. Can you guarantee success?
In most cases, given a client collaborates consistently with MGC, providing the necessary documentation, information, and so on, our success rates are very high.
Grant award amounts and the timeline for receiving them may vary from one organization to another and are dependent on the project’s type.
In general, we can say that when the selected project is appropriate, the organization is well-established, and the cooperation with MGC is adequate, there is a high likelihood that a client organization will succeed in resource development.
We always stress that the closer the collaboration, the smoother and more financially impactful the result will be.
6. Does MGC experience a conflict of interest when representing multiple organizations in the same field?
We work hard to find uniqueness in each project.
Each of our clients’ projects is special and different, even though there may be common elements among them.
We emphasize the unique character of each project and present it to the appropriate funding sources.
There is an advantage to handling multiple similar projects, as we can examine the behavior of funding sources and their response toward each project. This experience allows us to identify the factors that lead to success and grant acceptance and helps us to tailor our process for each client even further.
We identify which foundations are likely to fund which projects, allowing us to optimize our applications and whom we approach, leading to better and better outcomes as we go on.
7. Does MGC take clients in all fields?
In theory, we have the ability to submit requests in all fields.
However, our primary preference is to serve clients in fields where we have proven experience.
Therefore, we primarily work with organizations engaged in the following fields: Education, Jewish identity, Welfare, Culture and Arts, Healthcare, Absorption and Immigration, and similar fields.
We urge you to inquire even if you don’t fit exactly in those fields. However, please know we only work with organizations that are capable of being responsible and collaborating with us throughout the entire process to ensure successful outcomes.
8. What are your success rates?
Our success rate over 15 years stands at 89%, representing the overall success of all the requests we have submitted.
It should be said though, our success rates vary between different fields.
9. Is the fundraising that MGC offers suitable for every non-profit organization?
Every organization is interested in resource development, but not every organization is structured for it.
Many organizations are not prepared to invest in long-term thinking and do not manage themselves properly, lacking the organized management necessary for collaboration with MGC and meeting the requirements of funding bodies.
An organization that is not properly run, or lacking in creative thinking, vision, optimism, or long-term perspective, is better off not initiating such a process.
10. What kind of organization is suitable for successfully achieving funding from these funding sources?
An organization with proper, organized management, that has visionary and proactive administrators who do not operate in a “firefighting” mode, is most likely to succeed here.
Our process is best suited to a non-profit organization with strategic thinking, some existing capital funding, and a well-defined project with known goals and objectives.
And most importantly, our process is designed for an organization that wants to advance and expand its services and does not know how.
